Job Title: Aviation Security Consultant
Location: “Pan India” or “Global Assignments”
Employment Type: Part-time / Contractual
Reports to: Client’s Director – Aviation Security Services / Chief Security Officer

Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced Aviation Security Consultant with a minimum of 10 years of practical experience in the aviation security domain. The consultant will provide expert guidance, operational support, and regulatory compliance solutions to enhance security standards at airports, airlines, and aviation-related facilities, in alignment with national and international regulations such as ICAO, IATA, and relevant Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct aviation security audits, threat and vulnerability assessments, and risk evaluations.
* Develop and review Aviation Security Programmes (ASPs) for airport and airline operators in accordance with CAA and ICAO standards.
* Prepare and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key security areas including passenger screening, access control, cargo, catering, and perimeter security.
* Provide guidance on compliance with DGCA/CAA guidelines and international best practices.
* Design and deliver training modules for airline, airport, and contracted security staff.
* Investigate security incidents and assist in corrective and preventive action planning.
* Coordinate with government agencies, regulators, and stakeholders to align with evolving security norms.
* Advise on procurement and evaluation of security technologies such as X-ray machines, ETDs, CCTV systems, and biometric access control.
* Support aviation infrastructure development projects with security planning, design review, and implementation strategy.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

* Minimum of 10 years of direct experience in aviation security, preferably with an airline, airport authority, regulatory body, or security consultancy.
* Graduate in any discipline. Additional qualifications in Aviation Security, Risk Management, or Industrial Security preferred.
* Familiarity with ICAO Annex 17, CAA regulations, IATA standards, and global aviation security practices.
* Proven experience in aviation security planning, quality control, audits, and crisis response.
* Strong communication, report writing, and stakeholder management skills.
* Certifications from relevant CAA, ICAO AVSEC Professional Manager (PM), or equivalent are desirable.

Preferred Background:

* Former personnel from airline security departments, airport security units, or regulatory bodies such as CAAs.
* Experience in international consulting assignments or exposure to foreign civil aviation security frameworks.
* Participation in national-level AVSEC training, security audits, or policy formulation.

Compensation:
Remuneration will be based on experience, expertise, and scope of engagement. Travel and consultancy allowances applicable as per company norms mentioned in the contracts.
